Meet the Photographer

I am a wife and mom to 4 growing kiddos. PATIENCE…yes, that is one of my virtues. You will see this shine through as I make your photo session fun and interactive.  My first job was as an Obstetric nurse, but after having my 4 children I had to give that busy but rewarding career up. I have been photographing kids and families for over 10 years, launching Juliet Jade in 2009. Photography is my life’s passion and combines my love of children with my love of creativity and art.   My most cherished possession is my box of old photos passed down from my grandmother documenting her life on the farm. My passion for history, tradition, and anything old that tells a story shines through in the locations I choose for my sessions. My locations are chosen to provide beautiful natural light.  I have many wonderful spots I like to take my families to get that warm, buttery light you see in my photos.   My goal when photographing children is to capture the child as their true self. Candid shots of families interacting and kids playing are my favorite photos.  My goal is to provide you with photography that is artistic and out of the box. I do direct my sessions slightly, but I rely on children’s spontaneous personalities to tailor the session to you.  We will play games and make the most of our time together so it is not only a photo session but a beautiful memory.   I do not time my sessions so I can spend as much time as it takes to get to know your children and get them comfortable in front of the camera.  If you would like to fill your home with portraits of your life and your growing children I would love to become your photographer.   Many of my clients are return clients that have been with me since their children were babies, and seeing them grow from year to year is my greatest joy. I do require you to be my partner in this journey and put your trust in me to help you select the proper clothing and location for your session. I also ask that you be present during the session to interact with your children to get those natural shots you will love for your Wall Art. With that being said, there may be moments where I ask you as the parent to go for a little walk so I can interact with the kids to get them to relax for the camera.  Again….it is about trust and letting me do what I do best. This is what you see through my work on the website. I promise your heart will melt when you see what the camera captures of your unique, beautiful children and family.
